📸 Cobblestones & Crown Jewels: Walking Brussels' Royal Quarter Like a Local

Our walk started right around Brussels Central Station, near that big bustling roundabout just before crossing over toward Mont des Arts. Once across the street, we stepped into the gorgeous gardens and picked the path lined with trees blooming in soft pinks and whites, with lovely greenery wrapping around to our right 🌸. At the top of the stairs, we took a coffee break on the restaurant terrace—perched right over those perfectly manicured gardens laid out below us like a postcard ☕. After soaking in the view, we kept climbing up toward the grand Royal Palace, taking in the city at our own easy pace 🏛️.

Once refreshed, we pushed up the final stretch of stairs right to the open plaza outside the Royal Palace. Reaching the grand plaza outside the Royal Palace is a total "wow" moment. Looking across at the palace, the sheer size of that gleaming white facade takes your breath away 👑! It’s easily one of the most picture-perfect spots in all of Brussels. After snapping a few photos along the front gates, all you have to do is turn right to find the entrance to the Royal Gardens 🌳.

Standing on the palace plaza, continuing into Parc de Bruxelles is the absolute best way to finish the route 🌳. As you turn right and cross into the park, the noise of the city fades behind a wall of tall green trees. The park is laid out in classic geometric paths, with a gorgeous octagonal fountain right at its heart where sunlight filters through the leaves 💧. We loved wandering along the wide gravel walkways, taking in the statues framed by autumn leaves, and watching the steady rhythm of city life go by 🍂. It’s a peaceful, welcoming space that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile ☕✨.
